Sam is a musician from Penrith, NSW. He has played bass with Sydney band The Holy Soul since 2001, doing a lot of recordings and shows. In 2012 he played guitar alongside author Courtney Collins and visual artist Biddy Maroney at the inaugural production of Radio With Pictures at the Sydney Opera House.
In 2013 Sam was invited to improvise with Damo Suzuki, Keiji Haino, E-Da (Boredoms) and many others for a show at Tokyo’s SuperDeluxe. Last year he contributed guitar and keyboards to Jed Kurzel’s ‘Snowtown: Live’ film score performances as part of Dark Mofo in Hobart and Unsound in Adelaide and Krakow. He has also played bass and guitar live and on record with Robyn Hitchcock, Loene Carmen, David Thomas, Damo Suzuki, Neil Hamburger and The Vacant Lot. Sam enjoys learning about music from the amazing Club Weld crew.
